This all metal die uses a piercing style top die that passes through the matching hole in the metal bottom die, making it ideal for thinner materials where a small, accurately positioned hole is required.

When to Use a 1.5mm Hole Cutting Die
This die creates a finished hole measuring approximately 1.5mm in diameter and is ideal whenever your project requires a small, accurately positioned opening.

How to Install the Die Set
- Screw the metal top die into the upper section of the KAM DK93 Hand Press.
- Place the metal flat base bottom die into the base of the press.
- Position your material over the bottom die.
- Lower the handle firmly to create the hole.

My favourite way to choose the right hole cutting die:
This all metal die is my preferred choice for thinner materials such as cotton fabrics and interfaced fabrics. When working with vinyl faux leather, genuine leather and thicker bag making materials, I personally use the Hole Cutting Dies designed for Thicker Materials as they remove the material more cleanly and produce neater results.
Another helpful tip is to test the hole size:
Different fabrics and stabilised materials can vary slightly in thickness and density. Testing the hole size on an offcut first helps ensure the best result before cutting your finished project.
