This die has been selected specifically for the 14mm Rhinestone Grommets available from Chris Lucas Designs Australia.
This 14mm setting die is not interchangeable with the separate setting dies required for 12mm grommets.
What Is Included

The two pieces work together as a matching set to support and secure the 14mm Rhinestone Grommet.
How to Use the Setting Die
- Install the upper and lower setting dies into the KAM DK93 Hand Press.
- Prepare the opening using the 15mm Hole Cutting Die Set.
- Insert the 14mm grommet barrel through the prepared opening.
- Place the sparkling rhinestone front into the matching shaped die so it is fully supported.
- Position the back piece over the barrel and check that both pieces are centred.
- Lower the press handle gradually, then apply firm pressure to set the two pieces together.
- Check that the grommet is evenly secured before continuing with your project.
Helpful Tip from Chris
Always test a complete installation on an offcut made from the same materials and number of layers as your finished project.
Begin with controlled pressure and check that the grommet front and back remain centred before completing the press. The matching shaped die should support the rhinestone front throughout installation to help protect the glass rhinestones.
For these 14mm Rhinestone Grommets, use the 15mm Hole Cutting Die Set to prepare the opening. The 12mm hole cutting die creates an opening that is too small.
