Description
Rotating Hole Punch with 6 Hole Sizes
This Rotating Hole Punch is a practical hand operated tool for creating round holes in vinyl faux leather, leather, webbing, stabilised fabrics and other suitable bag making materials.
Simply rotate the punch wheel to select the required size, position your material between the punch and brass anvil, then squeeze the handles firmly. With six sizes from 2mm to 4.5mm, one compact tool can help prepare holes for a range of Double Cap Rivets, Chicago Screws, Rivet Set Magnetic Snaps and other bag hardware.
Why Bag Makers Love It
- Six useful round hole sizes in one tool
- No separate punch heads to change or store
- No hammer, mallet or hand press required
- Soft grip handles provide a comfortable hold
- Lighter and more compact than our larger black rotating hole punch
- Slide locking lever keeps the handles closed for storage
- Useful for straps, tabs, handles and hardware placement
- Affordable option for adding multiple hole sizes to your toolkit
Six Hole Sizes
- 2mm
- 2.5mm
- 3mm
- 3.5mm
- 4mm
- 4.5mm
Choose the hole size to suit the post or fitting of the hardware you are installing. Always test the selected size with your actual hardware and project layers before punching your finished piece.
Suitable Materials and Projects
The Rotating Hole Punch can be used with many common bag making materials, including:
- Vinyl faux leather
- Leather
- Webbing
- Stabilised fabrics
- Bag straps and handles
- Hardware tabs and strap connectors
- Wallets, pouches and small accessories
Material thickness and density can vary, so always test the punch on an offcut made from the same materials and number of layers.
How to Use the Rotating Hole Punch
- Mark the position where the hole is required.
- Rotate the punch wheel until the required size is aligned directly above the brass anvil.
- Place a small scrap layer behind the material you want to punch. This gives the cutting tube something to cut into and can help it pass cleanly through the project layer.
- Position the marked area between the selected punch and the brass anvil.
- Squeeze the handles together firmly.
- Release the handles and check that the material has been cut all the way through.
- Test the hole with your hardware before punching the remaining pieces.
The tool is best suited to holes positioned close enough to the edge of your material to fit between the punch and anvil.
Helpful Tip from Chris
For a cleaner cut all the way through, place an extra scrap layer of vinyl faux leather or another suitable material underneath the piece you are punching. The punch can then cut through your project layer and into the scrap layer below.
I recommend testing each hole size on an offcut first because the thickness and density of vinyl faux leather, leather, webbing and stabilised fabric can vary. Check the test hole with the actual rivet, screw or hardware post you plan to install before cutting your finished project.
