The textured non-slip grip dots on the underside help hold the ruler in position while cutting, giving you greater control and more consistent results.
One feature we particularly liked when testing this ruler was how well the non-slip dots gripped vinyl faux leather. Even on smooth bag making materials, the ruler stayed securely in place while the fluorescent markings remained easy to see.

Helpful Tip from Chris
This has quickly become one of my favourite rulers for marking boxed corners on bags. The textured grip dots hold surprisingly well on vinyl faux leather, making it much easier to keep the ruler exactly where you want it while marking or cutting.
The fluorescent acrylic also makes the markings much easier to see than I expected, especially when working with darker materials.
